Week 17 Training

Hello Week 17! I’m actually feeling pretty good these past few days…so yeah!!

2/7

I only went through this once, but it was good enough for me!

  • Battling Ropes x 50
  • Mountain Climbers x 40  (I ended up having to move the last 20 to elevated cause Snowflake wasn’t a big fan)
  • Swings x 35 (20kg)
  • 30 Walking Lunges (used double 10kgs…started with 12kgs and felt really sloppy)
  • Pushup position and pulling 50 foot battling rope from around the pole to the other side (I saw this on a video and thought I’d give it a try. I liked it. My client, a male, thought the rope we used was kind of easy so we tied a 16kg on the end for him to pull and it made it harder for him)
  • 1 arm rows 10/10 (14kg)
  • Snatches 15/15 (16kg)
  • Goblet Squat x 10 (16kg)
  • Pushups x 5
  • TGU to windmill 1/1 (20kg)
  • Pullup x 1 (with 1 band)
  • Pistol on TRX 5/5
  • Pullup x 1 x 3 (with 2 bands…as I’m getting heavier this keeps getting harder!!)

2/9

I did a quick workout over my lunch break on Thursday. I really need to write up my workouts the day I do them cause I tend to forget all that was involved! This days training involved pullups (with blue band in singles as these are getting SUPER hard), pistols (1/1 with light KB–and I’m starting to feel “okay” about these again and 5/5 on TRX), bent presses (1/1 with 16kg) and double front squats (16kgs x 5)–I did this 2x through.  Finished up with snatches. I got through 40 snatches w/a 16kg and it was pretty challenging so I called it quits for the day and spent some happy time with my foam roller:)

2/11

Deck of cards workout in class! I LOVE deck of cards as you get to play around with reps and different exercises.  I did a mix of class exercises and Level 2 exercises.  Was 45 minutes long. I paced myself pretty good, so I was tired at the end up but not fried.  I felt pretty good though throughout the workout any my energy levels were pretty high.  So yeah for Snowflake!! (btw, I told Mark the other day when we do find out if it’s a boy or girl it’s going to be hard to transition from snowflake to the childs real name. I think our little one might have a nickname for a while!!)

2/12

Sunday funday at the gym with the Birds, Nolds and Snows (minus the preggo Nold today but added another Nold instead)!

I did a 5 minute RKC snatch test today with a 16kg and boy was a I spent after this.  This will be the last one I do (at least with a 16kg) until after Snowflake is born and I’m cleared for exercise.

After I caught my breath and energy levels were back, I did some military pressing. Not very much at all.  1/1 with a 20kg and attempt at 1/1 with a 24kg. Got it up pretty good at the right, no go on the left today. Some days you have it, some days you don’t!
